Personally I was surprised at how little I knew when kids came along. Even now that my kids are  two and six I am struggling to keep up with the learning curve. Looking back on when they were born, it was the little snippets that were the most helpful; from creams for nappy rash to tricks for settling. A lot didn't work for us, but I have to say, the ones that worked were a god send!
